As communications professionals for the College of Education and Human Ecology (EHE), we promote faculty, staff, students, alumni and donors. Our key publics include:
- External audiences such as prospective EHE students, alumni, donors, reporters and the general public in Ohio, the United States and internationally.
- Internal audiences such as current EHE students, faculty, staff and retirees, as well as the entire community of The Ohio State University.
We share the news about our outstanding people, programs, research and activities such as events and ongoing grant projects. Information is shared on the EHE website, in print publications such as the Inspire magazine for alumni and friends, and in e-newsletters such as a monthly update for the educator community in Ohio.
In addition, we work with print, television, radio and online media to match them with experts to interview for breaking news. The College of Education and Human Ecology is cited each year an average of 100 times by print media, such as the Columbus Dispatch, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Times of India, plus radio and web segments on NPR, CNN and other outlets. Our experts are invited to appear on nationally televised programs such as “Dr. Oz” and “Dateline NBC.” Countless blogs and websites also carry our news.
